year of service
just curious what people think about a mandatory year of service before the age of 21?? i am not sure myself but i think if we could ease it into society over the next decade, it could be a good thing. it could be as simple as visiting a senior center every month through high school and you are almost there or you could be in the national guard for a year or the peace corp?? please let me know your thoughts.

ReplyDeleteA lot of high schools (public) now require that you do a project that somehow benefits the community before you graduate. I think this is fantastic.
The only problem I see in making a year of service mandatory is enforcement. Would you put people in jail if they didn't comply?
